An Introduction To Me

My name is Dylan. I'm a young adult from Wales, UK. My story is not that of your usual 19 year old teenager, but one of struggle and passion! I've suffered with mental health problems since I was an early teen. First diagnosed with depression and anxiety, and a few years later, psychosis. Although life has been challenging for me and constantly up and down, I have always found being creative to really help my mind. I have a passion for music and love to play the piano, as well as writing and creating art!

Grow Through Clothing was founded from that same creative passion, with a simple goal in mind. To combine my love for colours, art and with the hope to spread good vibes and messages on my clothes. All of our high quality, original clothes are sustainably and ethically made under the Fair Wear Foundation.

Lastly, here is my message to you:

Remember that life is not always easy, but that doesn't mean you should give up on your dreams. Chase them always and no matter what is going on in your life, don't forget to smile. You are alive, you are good enough and you can do anything you set your mind too!

Finally, your mental health is important and there's always light at the end of the tunnel, no matter how dark it may seem. Your mental health doesn't define you. It's not a curse, it's not the end. It's a challenge, and it's there for you to grow. Things only grow upwards and if you think you're growing the wrong way, there's always a secret message to why that is. You've just got to be patient with yourself and know that it's okay to not be okay.

So smile, focus on what you do have and continue to grow no matter how slowly. Life is what you make of it and it's okay to be sad or anxious and it's okay to be crazy, it's okay to be all three and more.

It's okay to not know what the F is going on sometimes. You'll figure it out in the end. 🌻
